What is plagiarism?

PLAGIARIZE:  (1) to use another's work and pass it off as one's own, (2) to commit literary theft, (3) to copy another's work without crediting the source (Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary [11th ed.; 2003; print]).

Canisius does not tolerate plagiarism.  Please review the Canisius College Code of Academic Integrity.  Plagiariasm is described in Section II.B.1 (Plagiarism).

Citing avoids plagiarism problems

The following video is a solid introduction to the topic of plagiarism.

N.B. the samples in the video DO NOT reflect the 2009 citing style changes of MLA (7th) and APA (6th).  (Pima Community College)
